The 3rd day of the 3rd month—303 Day—is a celebration of the Roland TB-303: the small but mighty synth that gave birth to acid house and produces distinctive, squelchy basslines. You can hear its sound everywhere—from Daft Punk and Phuture to Madonna, Nine Inch Nails, Orbital, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink, and countless others that have seeped into your mind.
We’re excited to welcome three talented electro wizards, each summoning unholy, squelching sounds from the TR-303 and bending it to their will. Live performances by:
M. CAFFREY
M. Caffrey is a local legend in the Ottawa electronic music scene. If not in a club you can find him playing his GhettoBlast Solar Sound System in a forest.
GRAVITRONIC (Techo/IDM)
Catalyst co-conspirator /multi-instrumentalist

SAM ALEUMS (Ottawa Analog Hardware Electronica)
Sam Aleums is a performer and composer of electronic music. He dabbles in many genres within the realm of electronica and finds inspiration in the music of machines, pulling an array of beats and melodies from interconnected synthesizers, drum machines and samplers. His semi-improvised performances are intuitive and inspired, taking you from the pulse of the dancefloor to the bliss of space.
