SINGLE MOTHERS (London Punk, Dine Alone Recs)
Single Mothers broke up in 2009 and have been playing shows ever since. An electrifying pastiche of '90s and '00s hardcore, hurling frenetic guitar riffs in all directions while galloping drums propel most of the songs at an unrelenting pace.
MUSHY GUSHY (Ott. Garage/Indie)
Ottawa's Catchy as hell FUN tune makers. Just think "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley but noisier. Their recent release TIGHT SNAKE is quite amazing. Board this new Mushy Gushy train now so that in the future you can say "Ya, I pretty much discovered them."
CURL (Ottawa Indie/Garage)
Yelly-screamy garage rock that is probably not in key.
