GERARD VAN HERK (Toronto Rockabilly Trash)
Gerard Van Herk was the singer and guitarist of legendary Montreal “sludgeabilly” duo Deja Voodoo (1981-89). In 2024, after 35 years out of music, he recorded the “Shot of Blood” EP (Voodoo Rhythm) with rockabilly wildman Bloodshot Bill. That encouraged him to write and record over 40 new songs, mostly low-fi garage-rock-blues-punk. For this live performance, Gerard & Bloodshot Bill, will join forces to deliver trashy tunes straight from a rotten crypt plus, they’ll be digging up classics from the Deja Voodoo catalogue.
