CARLETON UNIVERSITY'S CONCRETE CANOE TEAM FUNDRAISER

HEDONIC
Hedonic is a high-energy trio that plays fast-paced music and loud rock. Their sound blends the heavy riffs of 70s hard rock with the gritty intensity of 90s grunge. Having been together for over two years, Hedonic's catalog of inspired covers and intriguing original music never fails to deliver an engaging live performance.

KIBBLE
Kibble is a rock band held together by the power of friendship. Described as “tolerable” and “not for everyone,” they still know how to put on a party. Winners of Ottawa’s Least Known Band Award, Kibble leans fully into the chaos and fun of a live show.

PLUS DJ PUSSYWILLOW
Emily, performing as PussyWillow, is a DJ whose biggest joys include music, hockey, and concrete. Spinning tracks for the Concrete Canoe event alongside hockey teammate Jake (of Kibble) brings all three passions together, making this set a celebration of community, collaboration, and good energy.

CARLETON UNIVERSITY'S CONCRETE CANOE TEAM

is an interdisciplinary student design team that engineers and builds canoes from concrete to compete in the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition, teaching students practical skills in materials science, project management, and teamwork while tackling the challenge of making concrete float, often involving students from Civil, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering. The team gains hands-on experience in concrete mix design, fabrication, and technical presentation, with a strong focus on innovation, learning from failure, and preparing for real-world engineering challenges.
