Country in The Capital
is a night of music and entertainment featuring emerging Country music talent from in and around the Ottawa area. The event seeks to highlight this up and coming local talent, and offer them a stage to industry and fans alike.

RIFLE & THE WRITER (Ott Country - CD Release)
One of the most talented outfits to hit the TARG stage. Definitely and emerging name that you will hear lots from in the future. The Rifle & The Writer is a Canadian Country Music duo comprised of siblings Rebekka Paige and Colby Latocha formed in 2015. In January of 2016, they recorded their debut album Flowers of Chance in Nashville, TN. The album reflects of the hardest days of their lives caused by the fallout of previous failed musical pursuits.

Dealing with regret, failed relationships, and second chances, it is an insight into the minds of two struggling musicians and what it takes to reach ones goals. It is slated to be released on March 20, 2017.

AMANDA JORDAN (Smiths Falls Country Singer/Songwriter)
Amanda Jordan is a 20 year old singer songwriter, model, and actress from Lombary, Ontario. In 2016, she was invited to showcase her music during the CMAO Spring Conference in Toronto. In September of 2016, Amanda performed in three showcases during the week of the CCMA’s in London. She was also selected as one of the top ten in the Ole Nashville Red Dot “On The Spot” songwriting competition, where she also performed.

Amanda was cast as a singer in the movie “Revenge of the Daughter” which appeared on the Lifetime Channel, and she was selected as one of the top three most talented in the 2015 Miss Teenage Canada.

She has recently returned from a songwriting trip to Nashville. Amanda’s charity work and original music often addresses social issues such as the importance of support those who suffer from mental illnesses, PTSD, healthy relationships and rare children’s diseases.

Canadian country artist Rory Gardiner has seen the success of his compositions published and performed by other artists, as well as songs licensed and synched in TV advertisements airing daily throughout North America. He has appeared on multiple CMT(Country Music Television) nationally broad casted reality shows in Canada, and shared the stage (and golf carts) with a number of great country acts (Keith Urban, Aaron Pritchett, Dallas Smith, etc).
