All money raised will be going to Somerset West's NESI (Needle Exchange Safer Inhalation) Peer Program which views every NESI client engaging in services as a potential service provider. Based on the principles of harm reduction, it considers some of the best educators around drug trends, and drugs use to be people who use drugs themselves. The money raised will go towards paying peers to with work with staff to engage their fellow community by working in the NESI gear room, NESI drop-in, NESI outreach van, conducting speaking engagements, consulting on committees (especially around supervised injection) and conducting foot outreach to hard to contact homes
