YES WE MYSTIC (Winnipeg art rock)
Hurling rock together with folk, hip-hop, and R&B, strings and mandolins together with synthesizers, pedals, samples, and vocal effects, they come up with songs that can mellow and groove but climb in an instant to towering, frenzied heights.
"Winnipeg five-piece Yes We Mystic are full of fearless creative energy, remaining unafraid to experiment and break genre boundaries." - Exclaim!
TREES (Ottawa indie)
Trees began as an instrumental three piece. Alex and Andrew Gelok, with Alex Johnstone, created a sound that combined their love of post-rock and effect-driven guitar.
A year after formation, Jon Matthews joined Trees as a singer and instrumentalist...bringing melodies to the intricate harmony. Experimental Post-Rock from Ottawa
