To call Toronto's Dévah Quartet a 'string quartet' would be a boldface lie. Dévah is comprised of Emily on electric violin, Sharon and Moira on electric 5-string violin/viola hybrids, and Liza on electric cello. A full on prog rock explosion featuring virtuosic musicianship that pushes the bounds of can be done in a live setting... we know because they blew us all away at last time they played TARG in Feb.
